Class 2 Driver

Salary: £42,000 basic per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm
Contract: Permanent, 45 hours per week
Overtime: Paid for hours worked over 45 per week

We are recruiting three permanent HGV drivers for a well-established plant company. We welcome applications from Class 2 rigid and Class 1 articulated drivers.

The role involves completing multidrop deliveries and collections of plant equipment while providing a safe, reliable and professional service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting plant equipment from customer sites
• Completing multiple drops and collections each day
• Loading, unloading and safely securing equipment
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Completing all necessary delivery and collection paperwork
• Complying with drivers’ hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations
• Maintaining high standards of safety and customer service

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) or Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and transport regulations
• A reliable, safety-conscious and professional approach
• Previous multidrop or plant delivery experience is desirable
