Class 2 RORO Skip Driver

## Our client is looking for a Class 2 RORO Skip Driver for Northampton. The role is for a 3-month contract.

### Overview:

As a Class 2 RORO Skip Driver, you will operate articulated/rigid HGV Class 2 vehicles transporting RORO skips safely and efficiently to customer sites. You will be responsible for collection, delivery, secure handling, and on-site placement, ensuring excellent customer service and full compliance with transport and safety regulations.
Working 5am to 3.30pm on a 40 hour contract Monday to Friday

### Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a Class 2 vehicle as a RORO Skip Driver, transporting RORO skips between depots and customer locations
  • Load, unload and secure RORO skips in line with vehicle and skip handling procedures
  • Ensure accurate completion of delivery/collection paperwork and job documentation
  • Carry out vehicle checks before and after shifts

### Essential Requirements

HGV Class 2 licence (C category) with valid DCPC and digital tachograph card Proven experience as an HGV Skip Driver / RORO driver (preferred) Experience operating and handling RORO skips safely and efficiently Strong understanding of driver safety, traffic management, and safe site working practices Ability to work independently and manage timekeeping to meet delivery schedules Good communication skills and customer-focused approach
