Waste Collection Driver in Rhayader, Sir Powys

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Waste Collection Driver/Loader to join a local authority team in Rhayader.

This is a hands-on role involving the collection of recycling boxes from residential properties. You will be responsible for driving a Class 2 vehicle and assisting with the collection of recycling throughout the local area.

Location: Station Road, Rhayader, Powys, LD6 5AW
Pay Rate: £17.43 per hour Umbrella
Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm
Contract: 3 months initially, with the possibility of extension
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle on designated recycling collection routes.
• Collecting recycling boxes from residential properties.
• Assisting with loading and unloading recycling materials.
• Carrying out regular bending, stretching and manual handling.
• Working as part of a team to complete daily collection schedules.
• Maintaining a professional and reliable service.

Requirements:

• A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Ability to undertake physically demanding work.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Available for an immediate start.
