Class Teacher

Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and highly capable SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Blandford Forum from January 2027.

This is a full-time opportunity within a Year 4 class, supporting pupils with additional needs through a personalised and nurturing approach.

This vacancy would suit an educator who is confident stepping into a classroom and making an immediate impact.

We are looking for someone who understands how to create engaging learning experiences, adapt lessons to individual needs, and establish strong, consistent routines from day one.

You will be responsible for delivering a creative and accessible curriculum to a small group of primary-aged learners with a range of special educational needs.

Working collaboratively with support staff, therapists, parents, and wider professionals, you will help pupils achieve both academic and personal development goals.

• Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that inspire participation and progress
• Build positive relationships with pupils who may require additional emotional and behavioural support
• Monitor attainment and provide accurate assessments of learning
• Adapt teaching strategies to suit diverse learning profiles
• Work closely with teaching assistants to maximise pupil outcomes
• Promote independence, confidence and social development

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience working with SEN pupils
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A calm, resilient and proactive approach
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices
• Ability to hit the ground running within an established team
