Protocol Education is recruiting Classroom Supervisors to support secondary schools across Hartlepool and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are confident, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed.

No QTS, PGCE, or teaching qualification is required.

Whether your experience comes from education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, residential care, tutoring, customer service, or other roles involving children and young people, we would love to hear from you.

As a Classroom Supervisor, you'll step into lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain focused on pre-set work while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. This role centres on classroom management and student engagement rather than lesson planning or formal teaching.

The Role

As a Classroom Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes using work provided by the classroom teacher.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and uphold school expectations.
  • Encourage students to remain engaged and focused throughout lessons.
  • Manage classroom behaviour confidently and professionally.
  • Support students in completing assigned tasks.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and school leaders to ensure continuity of learning.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young people and want to gain valuable school-based experience.

Qualifications

This is an unqualified position, meaning:

No QTS required
No PGCE required
No formal teaching qualification required
