Protocol Education is currently recruiting confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools across Wakefield LEA. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced support staff, or individuals looking to gain valuable classroom experience within the education sector.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas.
- Supervise and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students stay on task and complete assigned work.
- Foster a positive and productive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour.
- Have experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or a similar setting.
- Be confident managing groups of students independently.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate flexibility, resilience, and professionalism.
- Hold a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
