Classroom Support Assistant - Reading

A fantastic school in Reading is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and resilient Classroom Support Assistant to join their team and support students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, learning difficulties and behavioural needs.

No two days will be the same! As a Classroom Support Assistant, you'll work closely with students in the classroom, helping them feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

You'll be there to:

• Support students with their learning and day-to-day activities
• Encourage communication, confidence and independence
• Help students overcome barriers to learning
• Make lessons fun, engaging and accessible
• Celebrate students' progress - both the big milestones and the little wins!
• Help monitor and record students' development and progress

Most importantly, you'll be someone who can see the individual behind the needs and understand that every student learns and communicates in their own way.

Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential. What really matters is your attitude, enthusiasm and genuine desire to help young people succeed.
