BX2 are recruiting for a cleaner in the Stockport area.

8am-12pm (flexible if needed)

Monday to Friday

Role involves maintaining a clean, safe, organised and efficient workplace. The role supports the day-to-day operation of the site and helps provide a positive and welcoming environment for employees, visitors and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Facilities

  • Carry out cleaning activities across office areas, meeting rooms, warehouse areas, kitchen facilities, washrooms and communal spaces.
  • Ensure washroom products and cleaning supplies are regularly checked and replenished.
  • Maintain site refreshments and provisions for employees and visitors.
  • Empty and recycle waste and recycling bins appropriately.
  • Identify and report maintenance, safety, cleaning or housekeeping issues promptly.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation throughout the workplace.

Office Support

  • Support the preparation and coordination of meeting rooms for customer visits, meetings and events, including room set-up and clear-down.
  • Assist with receiving and sending mail.
  • Order office supplies and other workplace provisions as required.
  • Act as a friendly, helpful and professional point of contact for employees, visitors and contractors while on site.
  • Provide general support to ensure the workplace operates smoothly and efficiently.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Carry out all work in accordance with UK health and safety policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
  • Follow appropriate workplace health, safety and hygiene standards.
  • Report hazards, defects, maintenance requirements and other concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean and compliant working environment.

Sustainability

  • Support workplace sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling and energy efficiency.
  • Follow environmentally responsible cleaning and waste-management practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workplace efficiency, cleanliness and the overall employee and visitor experience.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in cleaning, facilities, hospitality or a similar workplace support role.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
  • Reliable, proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • Basic understanding of workplace health and safety practices in the UK.
  • Professional, friendly and approachable manner.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, visitors and contractors.
