Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to lead cleaning operations and deliver exceptional service standards across a busy and dynamic environment.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Cleaning Manager, the Cleaning Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of cleaning services, ensuring all operational activities are delivered to agreed standards and meet health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to cleaning teams, manage performance, maintain strong customer relationships, and identify opportunities to improve service delivery. This role requires a proactive individual who can motivate teams, manage resources effectively, and contribute to the ongoing success of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support cleaning teams to ensure consistently high service standards.
- Ensure all cleaning activities are delivered in line with operational procedures and quality requirements.
- Monitor service performance and take corrective action where required.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, stakeholders, and operational teams.
- Manage day-to-day cleaning operations, resources, and workforce deployment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, COSHH, risk assessments, safe systems of work, and company procedures.
- Assist with budget management, performance reporting, and service delivery metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, operational efficiency, employee engagement, wellbeing, and development through effective leadership and coaching.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory, team leader, or facilities management role.
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing operational teams.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements, COSHH, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience monitoring service performance and achieving operational targets.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
- Good administration, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
- A proactive approach to managing resources and supporting continuous service improvement.
