Clerk Of Works

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and workmanship.
• Inspect completed and ongoing works against drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Identify defects, poor workmanship and areas of non-compliance.
• Undertake snagging inspections and monitor the close-out of outstanding works.
• Monitor compliance with relevant building regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Raise and record quality issues and ensure appropriate corrective actions are undertaken.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

• Strong background in construction, site inspection, building control or building surveying.
• Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, snagging and defect management.
• Good knowledge of building regulations, health and safety and construction standards.
• Experience ensuring construction works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and requirements.
• HNC/HND in Construction Management, Building Surveying or Civil Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Candidates without the above qualification may be considered with 10+ years' relevant construction experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
