My client is a well established and highly regarded Independent Financial Advisory firm based in central Colchester.

My client is looking to add an experienced IFA Administrator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close, collaborative and hardworking office where everyone supports one another. The business prides itself on delivering high-quality wealth management services and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will be responsible for supporting advisers with the full end to end new business process, working across a wide range of financial products and services. This is a varied and fast paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys seeing tasks through from start to finish.

Daily duties

You will process new business applications for both new and existing clients

You will manage pension and ISA transfers from initiation through to their completion

You will handle trust applications and inheritance tax planning cases

You will process tax wrapper switches and withdrawals

You will set up investment income and pension income

You will manage Letters of Authority and annuity applications

You will submit applications and ensure their accurate completion across all systems

You will track cases and provide updates through to completion

You will liaise with providers and clients to resolve queries

You will use Intelligent Office as the core CRM/database system

You will work across multiple client platforms including Aberdeen, Fidelity and Quilter

You will process fund withdrawals and coordinating payments to clients

Candidate requirements

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within an IFA firm (essential)
  • You will have a strong background in new business processing across a variety of financial products
  • You will have experience handling cases from start to finish
  • You will possess excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • You will have strong communication and relationship building abilities
  • You will have be a team player who thrives in a collaborative, friendly but hardworking environment
