Salary: £28.38 per hour

Location: Croyden

Contract: Full Time, remote - 3 month contract

The Opportunity

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a well-established NHS healthcare provider seeking an experienced Clinical Coding & Data Quality Supervisor to join its Finance Directorate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACC-qualified Clinical Coding professional looking to combine expert coding knowledge with team leadership, mentoring and service improvement responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, support and mentor Clinical Coders and Data Quality Officers
  • Assist with coding audits and quality assurance activities
  • Ensure compliance with ICD-10 and OPCS-4 national coding standards
  • Review coding accuracy and identify development opportunities within the team
  • Support data quality investigations and correction processes
  • Assist with complex coding queries and provide expert guidance
  • Liaise with clinicians and stakeholders to improve clinical documentation and coding accuracy
  • Contribute to departmental policies, procedures and service improvements
  • Support outpatient coding initiatives and data capture projects

About You

To be considered, you will have:

  • National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC)
  • Minimum five years' post-ACC clinical coding experience
  • Recent NHS clinical coding experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10, OPCS-4, anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or supervising coding staff
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good understanding of data quality principles and processes
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
