Clinical Lead

Clinical Lead (RGN/RMN) | Cardiff

£45,000 - £50,000 per annum

JCO Healthcare are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established nursing home in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nurse leader to join the senior management team of a successful 58-bed nursing home, supporting the delivery of outstanding care and clinical excellence.

Working alongside a second Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership across a 7-day service, supporting the Home Manager, mentoring the nursing team, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently achieved.

The Role

As Clinical Lead, you will:

• Provide visible clinical leadership and support to nurses and care staff
• Work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home
• Support medication management, clinical governance and quality assurance processes
• Coach, mentor and develop the nursing team
• Lead by example, promoting a positive culture focused on resident outcomes
• Ensure compliance with CIW and regulatory requirements
• Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives

The role offers a balanced approach between clinical and operational responsibilities, with:

• One clinical shift on the floor per week
• The remainder of your time being supernumerary
• Alternate weekend working
• Participation in the management and leadership of the service

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
• Experience working within a nursing home environment
• Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance and regulatory compliance
• Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills
• A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
