We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Skills Lecturer to join our growing Health and Care team. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with teaching and curriculum development, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for successful careers in the health sector.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering innovative and engaging Health & Social Care and T Level Health programmes, ensuring learners gain the practical skills, confidence and industry knowledge needed for employment or further study.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching across Health and Social Care programmes.
- Developing engaging learning materials and practical skills sessions.
- Supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes.
- Working closely with employers and healthcare partners to ensure curriculum relevance.
- Monitoring student progress and providing effective academic support.
- Contributing to curriculum development aligned to local, regional and national workforce priorities.
- Supporting student recruitment, interviews, inductions and enrichment activities.
- Using digital technologies to enhance teaching, learning and assessment.
- Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement activities.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A degree in Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science or a related healthcare discipline.
- Current professional registration with the NMC, HCPC or relevant professional body.
- At least three years' industry experience within a healthcare setting.
- A passion for education and developing future healthcare professionals.
- Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills.
- The ability to inspire learners and support achievement.
Desirable:
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Practice Educator or equivalent experience.
- Assessor or Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
- Experience delivering education or training within healthcare.
- A Master's degree or additional postgraduate qualifications.
