CMM Operator / Inspector

Salary:
£21.90 per hour basic pay
Night shifts: £28.31 per hour, including a 29.25% shift allowance
Overtime: £32.85 per hour, paid at time and a half of basic pay

The Company:
An established manufacturing and engineering business is seeking three temporary professionals, with the potential for two positions to become permanent. Permanent and fixed-term applications may also be considered.

Working Hours:

Job Description:
As a CMM Operator / Inspector, you will programme and operate coordinate measuring machines to ensure components meet the required quality standards and specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Programming and operating CMM machines using MCOSMOS software

• Inspecting components against engineering drawings and specifications

• Checking dimensional and geometric tolerances and surface finishes

• Using micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges

• Working with colleagues to maintain product quality

• Sharing your knowledge and helping train others

Skills & experience:
To succeed as a CMM Operator / Inspector, you will need:

• Experience programming and operating CMM equipment

• Experience using MCOSMOS software

• A background in CNC machining or industrial engineering

• An understanding of tolerances, geometric tolerances and surface finishes

• Confidence using precision measuring equipment

• A positive, practical approach and strong teamwork skills

• Flexibility to work shifts and overtime

• A willingness to support and train colleagues
