Are you an experienced CMM Technician looking to work on complex, high-precision components within a highly regulated manufacturing environment?

The Role

As a CMM Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring components meet exacting customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards. Working closely with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying precision-engineered components throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and operate CMM inspection equipment.
  • Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
  • Produce detailed inspection reports and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
  • Work collaboratively with Production and Engineering teams to drive quality improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer quality requirements.
  • Maintain calibration and traceability records.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a CMM Inspection or CMM Programming role.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience using CMM software and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (AS9102) processes.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and shadowgraphs.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to quality inspection.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Desirable Experience

  • Engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualification.
  • Aerospace, defence, medical, automotive, or other high-precision manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP, ISIR, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working within AS9100 environments.
  • Understanding of special process controls and audit requirements.
