CNC Lathe Programmer in Batley, Kirklees

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Lathe Programmer, to join our client based in Batley (WF17).

Working Hours
Monday - Thursday (08:00am - 16:30pm)
Friday (08:00am - 15:00pm)

Pay Rate: Start rate £17ph, can be negotiated based on expereince.

Key Responsibilities

• Programming CNC lathes from engineering drawings.
• Setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Editing and optimising existing programs to improve efficiency.
• Selecting tooling, fixtures and cutting parameters.
• Producing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and other measuring equipment.
• Troubleshooting machining and tooling issues.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a CNC Lathe Programmer.
• Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently.
• Strong understanding of Fanuc controls (other control systems also considered).
• Experience working from detailed engineering drawings.
• Ability to manufacture components to tight tolerances.
• Strong inspection and quality control skills.
• Experience within precision engineering or subcontract machining environments.
