About the Role
A well-established and growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join its production team in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term permanent position with a successful business that specialises in the manufacture of high-quality bespoke products.
Working within a busy and modern production environment, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery and saw equipment to accurately cut, machine and prepare materials in line with customer specifications and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC routers and saw machinery safely and efficiently.
- Set up machinery, tooling and programmes for production runs.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Accurately measure, cut and prepare materials to required standards.
- Carry out quality inspections throughout the production process.
- Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of materials.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and routine checks.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Support wider production and workshop activities as required.
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience setting and adjusting CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good numerical and measuring skills.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software would be advantageous.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- £30,000 - £38,000 salary depending on experience.
