We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our advanced engineering workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, CNC Programmer or Workshop Technician with experience of operating Mazak Mazatrol machines to manufacture precision components for specialist machinery across the manufacturing, scientific, defence and space industries.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines, including Mazak Mazatrol systems.
   
• Producing high-precision components for specialist machinery using engineering drawings and specifications.
   
• Operating CNC machines with live tooling, turning and milling capabilities.
   
• Carrying out machining operations including turning, milling and Wire EDM processes.
   
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
   
• Performing routine quality checks to ensure components meet required standards.
   
• Using precision measuring equipment to inspect finished components.
   
• Carrying out basic maintenance tasks to ensure CNC machinery operates efficiently.
   
• Working with materials including stainless steel, aluminium and plastics.
   
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.

CNC Machinist's applying may have the following:

• Previous experience working as a CNC Machinist, CNC Turner, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter or Workshop Technician.
   
• Programming, setting and operating experience with Mazak Mazatrol turning machines.
   
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and manufacture components to fine tolerances.
   
• Experience machining a variety of materials including stainless steel, aluminium and plastics.
   
• Apprentice training or equivalent engineering experience.
   
• Experience with live tooling would be advantageous.
   
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and 3D milling would be beneficial.
   
• Strong attention to detail with pride in producing high-quality work.
   
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team.

Salary and Benefits Package:

• Salary range £37,500 pa - £51,500 pa inclusive of shift allowance + Overtime + Benefits
• Bonus based on company performance 
• Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
• 5-weeks Holiday + Bank Holidays
