The Role

We're looking for an experienced CNC Turner/Machinist who can confidently set, operate, and adjust machine tools to produce precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.

You'll be trusted to work from engineering drawings, maintain high-quality standards, and contribute to a team that prides itself on delivering first-class workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment
• Produce high-quality precision components to specification
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions
• Carry out component inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
• Make tooling offsets and minor programme adjustments when required
• Monitor machining processes to ensure efficiency and quality
• Work to production deadlines while maintaining exceptional standards
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards

What We're Looking For

Essential

✔ Strong CNC Turning experience
✔ Experience setting and operating machining equipment
✔ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
✔ Knowledge of machining tolerances and precision engineering practices
✔ Competent with measuring and inspection equipment
✔ Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

• CNC programme editing experience
• Milling or grinding experience
• Engineering apprenticeship or Level 3 engineering qualification
