CNC Machinist - Night Shift (Patchway)

Salary: £43,125.00 per annum

Sunday to Thursday | 10pm-6am | Permanent

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our engineering client in Patchway on a permanent night shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Machinist who is confident working independently, can think on their feet, and has strong problem‑solving skills.

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Machinist

  • Setting up and operating 3‑axis CNC milling machines
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Working to a "Right First Time" standard
  • Selecting appropriate tooling for each job
  • Working closely with the quality team to ensure part accuracy and traceability
  • Communicating equipment or tooling requirements to Engineering and Quality Managers

Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years' experience operating CNC machinery
  • Confident setting and operating CNC machines, ideally CNC milling
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
  • Experience with 3‑axis milling machining centres (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to edit CNC programmes when required
  • Fanuc experience (advantageous but not essential)
  • Skilled in using measuring tools such as Vernier calipers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently on nights and resolve issues quickly
  • Previous night‑shift experience is beneficial
