CNC Machinist

We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer to join a busy precision engineering company.

• Program, set and operate CNC milling machines.
• Produce one-off and batch components from engineering drawings.
• The CNC Machinist / CNC Miller will optimise programmes to improve efficiency and cycle times.
• Select tooling, fixtures and workholding.
• The CNC Machinist / CNC Miller will carry out first-off inspections and quality checks using measuring equipment.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.

Essential

• Proven CNC milling experience.
• CNC programming experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Experience with either Haas, Hurco, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
• Knowledge of Haas and Matsuura machinery.
• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
