CNC Machinist Programmer

Role: CNC Machinist
Salary: £21.71 per hour 
Shift: Mornings & Afternoons  37.75 hours a week 
Location: Brighouse

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong CNC Milling and CNC Turning capabilities to join a precision engineering team. The candidate will be skilled in programming, setting and operating Mazak CNC Machines with Mazatrol controls producing high precision components form a range of materials including stainless steels and exotic alloys.

This is a hands on role requiring the ability to write programs directly at the machine from Engineering drawings, select tooling, optimise machining processes and ensure components meet quality standards. 

Responsibilities:

• Program, set and operate CNC milling and turning machines with Mazatrol controls
• Create CNC Programs from scratch directly on the machine using engineering drawings
• Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances
• Machine a variety of materials including stainless steel and exotic alloys
• Set all jaws and tooling 
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist within a precision engineering or subcontract machining environment 
• Apprenticeship trained or Time served in a relevant role 
• Strong knowledge of both CNC milling and CNC turning 
• Extensive experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls 
• Able to write CNC programs from scratch at the machine
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel and exotic alloys
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
