CNC Machinist – Milling and Turning Lathes

The Job
- Operate a range of machining tools including CNC machines to repair or manufacture components according to drawings and sample.
- Run and Operate Siemens CNC lathes and millers
- Produce high-quality precision components to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters for efficient production.
- Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections using measuring equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing instructions.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and tools, including calibration and cleaning, to ensure optimal performance.
- Measure finished products using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
About you
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner and/or CNC Miller.
- Ability to set and operate CNC machinery independently.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and cutting practices.
