CNC Machinist (Turning)

Position 1 Recruitment are working with a well-established engineering company in Norwich, who are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their precision engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in CNC turning, sliding-head and conventional CNC machines, producing complex, high-precision components to tight tolerances.

Salary: Negotiable

The Role

• Set and operate CNC machining equipment.
• CNC programming and editing.
• Work with live tooling, sub-spindles and bar feeders.
• Manufacture complex and precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Set and adjust tooling, offsets and machine parameters.
• Work to tight tolerances and demanding specifications.
• Carry out quality checks to ensure components meet requirements.

About You

• Previous experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Turner.
• Experience with sliding-head CNC machines.
• Strong CNC turning and setting/operating experience.
• Experience working in precision engineering.
• Aerospace or AS9100 experience would be advantageous.
• Confident reading engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances.
• High standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Flexible and able to work across different machines and applications.
