CNC Miller Programmer / Setter / Operator

Actio Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company based in Christchurch who are looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator to join their skilled machining team on a permanent day shift.
The Role
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Producing precision components to tight tolerances
- Editing and proving out programs at the machine
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting appropriate tooling and cutting parameters
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
- Maintaining quality and productivity standards
- Working closely with the production and quality teams
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller Programmer, Setter and Operator
- Ability to programme directly at the machine
- Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Haas or similar controls advantageous
- Strong knowledge of precision machining techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Competent using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
