We’re recruiting for a CNC Miller to join a busy engineering company based in Totton. This is a hands-on role working on Mazak-controlled CNC milling machines, supporting ongoing production within a stable manufacturing environment.
The position is focused on setting and operating rather than programming from scratch, making it ideal for someone who enjoys practical machining work and being on the shop floor keeping production moving.
The business is looking for a reliable CNC Miller who can work confidently from engineering drawings, maintain quality standards, and support day-to-day production output. Operators with setting experience looking to progress further are also encouraged to apply.
Role Overview As a CNC Miller, your responsibilities will include:
- Setting CNC milling machines for production runs
- Operating machines to produce components to specification
- Making basic edits and offset adjustments where required
- Inspecting components to ensure accuracy and quality
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Supporting efficient day-to-day production within the machine shop
What They’re Looking For:
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Experience using Mazak controls
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Understanding of machining tolerances and inspection processes
- A reliable and hands-on approach
- Good attention to detail
- Multi-axis machining experience
- Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
