A well-established engineering business in Christchurch is looking for an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join their team.
This is a varied role for someone who wants to broaden their skill set, rather than simply setting and operating the same machine every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate, edit and program CNC milling machines
- Work with Fanuc controls
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Carry out first-off, final and sample inspections
- Make programme and offset adjustments where required
- Support with deburring and finishing
- Assist with turning work when needed
- Work closely with the wider team to maintain quality and production standards
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller Setter/Editor/Programmer
- Experience with Fanuc
- Confident setting and operating CNC milling machinery
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, tooling and machining processes
- Someone with a good attitude and a team-focused approach
- A willingness to get involved across different areas of the workshop
- £18–£20 per hour, depending on experience
