Cnc Miller Setter Operator

An established precision engineering business based near Wetherby is looking for an experienced CNC Milling Machinist to join its team. The company manufactures high-quality precision components for a range of demanding sectors, including Defence, Space, Audio, Motorsport and Telecommunications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating 3-axis HAAS machining centres, along with carrying out minor programme edits where required. The role will involve working to established procedures while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and safety.

Previous CNC machining experience is essential, ideally with experience of HAAS controls, along with a background in engineering or manufacturing. A strong eye for detail, accuracy, a positive approach to process improvement and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are also important.

The position offers Monday to Thursday, 7.30am–4.00pm and Friday, 7.30am–3.00pm, with a competitive and negotiable salary depending on experience. There is also a monthly bonus based on contract performance, providing an opportunity to increase overall earnings.

Overtime is available when required, providing further earning potential. Employees who complete 10 hours of overtime in a week will receive an additional £50 payment, on top of their normal overtime earnings.
