Precision parts, tight tolerances, work that actually varies from one job to the next.

Our client designs and builds high-performance engineering components for demanding technical customers from their Essex site. They need a CNC Miller who can programme, set and run 3 and 4-axis machining centres (Heidenhain control) on small batches and one-offs, not the same part on repeat.

You'll:

• Work confidently from engineering drawings
• Select tooling, set and operate the machines yourself
• Handle small batch and one-off work, often on large castings
• Flag issues and suggest improvements as you go
• Keep a safe, professional shop floor

You'll need:

• Solid CNC milling experience, ideally from automotive or aerospace
• Confidence setting and running your own machines, not just operating
• A good read on engineering drawings
• The calm to work accurately under pressure, and the initiative to sort problems without waiting to be told

Heidenhain experience is expected, Hypermill is a bonus.

40 hours, Monday to Friday, flexible start between 6am and 5.15pm. Competitive hourly rate plus overtime, and a pension scheme.
