CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company that is looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join its skilled machining team.

The position involves programming, setting and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines to manufacture high-quality precision components. Experience with Heidenhain controls would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines

• Manufacture precision components to the required specifications and tolerances

• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

• Understand and work with geometric dimensions and tolerances

• Select and use suitable cutting tools

• Inspect completed components using a range of precision measuring equipment

• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and safety

• Work in accordance with company procedures and policies

Skills and Experience

• Previous CNC milling experience

• Ability to programme, set and operate CNC milling machines

• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining

• Heidenhain control experience is preferred

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings

• Good knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances

• Good knowledge of cutting tools and machining techniques

• Ability to use a variety of precision measuring equipment

• Organised, reliable and punctual

• Positive attitude with a safety-conscious approach
