Wolviston Management Services are proud to be working in partnership with our amazing client to recruit a Multi-Skilled CNC Miller to join their growing and dynamic manufacturing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC professional with strong 3, 4 and 5 axis milling experience to take the next step in their career within a forward-thinking engineering environment.
The Role

You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality components in line with engineering drawings and production targets. Working within a structured manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in maintaining quality standards and supporting continuous improvement.

Key aspects of the role include:
  • Setting and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines
  • Working with Heidenhain and Fanuc control systems
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and CNC programmes
  • Adjusting offsets and troubleshooting machining issues
  • Carrying out quality checks and reporting any defects
  • Deburring and finishing precision components 
  • Using internal systems to track materials and job progress
  • Supporting 5S and continuous improvement activities 
  • Performing routine maintenance and ensuring machines are kept clean and safe 
  • Working collaboratively with the wider production team to meet deadlines 
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
  • A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent hands-on experience 
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a CNC milling environment 
  • Proven experience with multi-axis CNC machinery (3, 4 & 5 axis) 
  • Strong knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls 
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • A good understanding of health & safety practices 
Desirable (but not essential):
  • Engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Experience within a similar manufacturing sector

Working Hours This role operates on a rotational shift pattern (38 hours per week):
  • Early Shift (2 weeks):
    Monday - Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
    Friday: 6:00am - 1:00pm
  • Late Shift (2 weeks):
    Monday - Thursday: 2:30pm - 12:30am
