THE COMPANY

Our Kent-based client is a specialist manufacturer of commercial and industrial burners, supplying complete combustion solutions ranging from equipment for existing boiler systems through to bespoke solutions for new buildings and industrial power-generation applications.

Due to continued workload, they are looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join their workshop team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience operating CNC milling machines within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Previous CNC setting experience would be advantageous but is not essential, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operator looking to further develop their CNC machining skills.

Mazak / Mazatrol experience would also be beneficial, although candidates with experience operating other CNC milling machines and controls will be considered.

Quality is at the core of the company's operation, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate good attention to detail, an understanding of engineering drawings and the ability to consistently produce components to the required specifications.

  • Support machine changeovers and setups where experience allows.
  • Maintain CNC machines through routine operator checks and basic maintenance
  • Follow company quality procedures and Health & Safety requirements at all times.

  • Ability to monitor machining processes and recognise potential problems.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to follow works orders and production schedules.
  • Ability to work independently once instructed as well as part of a workshop team.
  • Good understanding of workshop Health & Safety.

DESIRABLE – NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Mazak / Mazatrol experience.
