Are you an experienced CNC Milling Programmer looking for a hands-on role with modern machinery, varied work and excellent pay?
 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-established, family-run precision engineering company that has been producing high-quality machined components for decades.

The company has a strong reputation for quality, service and long-term stability. Due to continued demand, they are now looking for an experienced CNC Milling Programmer to join their team in Market Harborough.
 

You’ll be programming modern vertical machining centres, including Doosan machinery, and producing precision components across a mixture of small and medium batch work. This is a proper engineering position for someone who understands the complete machining process and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
 

The Role

As a CNC Milling Programmer, you will be responsible for:

• Creating CNC milling programmes from engineering drawings
• Programming vertical machining centres, including Doosan machinery
• Selecting suitable tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds
• Setting, proving out and optimising new programmes
• Producing precision-machined components to tight tolerances
• Making programme adjustments to improve quality and cycle times
• Setting and operating CNC milling machines when required
• Inspecting your own work using appropriate measuring equipment
• Identifying and resolving machining or programming issues
• Supporting less experienced machinists where appropriate
• Maintaining consistently high standards of quality and efficiency
   

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience programming CNC milling machines
• A solid background in CNC milling, setting and operating
• Experience programming directly from engineering drawings
• Good knowledge of tooling, workholding, speeds and feeds
• Confidence proving out new programmes and making adjustments
• Experience producing components to tight tolerances
• Good inspection and measuring skills
• A practical, quality-focused approach
• Strong attention to detail and pride in their work

Experience with Doosan vertical machining centres would be beneficial, although experience gained on similar CNC milling machinery will also be considered.
