The CNC Programmer Role:

This role will focus on creating and optimising CNC programs using TopSolid, supporting the production of high-quality machined components.

Key responsibilities for the CNC Setter role:

  • For the role of CNC Programmer, you will create programs for the machine shop from route card and customer specifications
  • To be responsible for the security and organisation and production of the CNC programs with CAD/CAM software
  • You will review existing programs when required to increase efficiency in production for the role of CNC Programmer
  • For the role of CNC Programmer, you will suggest new training/new technology programs as appropriate
  • Develop tooling set up sheets for all CNC programs to assist in production

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM programming
  • Experience with TopSolid would be highly beneficial or similar CAM software
  • Understanding of machining processes including milling and turning
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models
  • Experience with multi-axis machining (3-axis / 4-axis / 5-axis)
  • Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining optimisation
