CNC Programmer in Oxfordshire

We're recruiting for an experienced CNC Programmer / Production Engineer to join a specialist Machine Shop working on complex, high-precision components across small-batch, prototype and one-off manufacturing.

The role has a strong focus on 5-axis CNC programming using Open Mind Hypermill.

• Create and optimise CNC programmes using Hypermill.

• Programme complex components across 3-axis, 3+2 and 5-axis machining.

• Produce tooling, set-up and manufacturing documentation.

• Support prototype and small-batch production.

• Troubleshoot machining and production issues.

• Support production planning, scheduling and pricing.

• Liaise with Design, Production, Purchasing and customers.

• Support tooling, TPM, maintenance and continuous improvement.

• Maintain accurate ERP, programme and job-pack information.

• 3+ years' Hypermill CAD/CAM programming experience.

• Strong 5-axis Hypermill programming experience - essential.

• Genuine hands-on CNC programming experience.

• Experience with complex, high-precision machining.

• Background in small-batch/prototype manufacturing.

• Experience with 3-axis, 3+2 and 5-axis machining.

• Strong engineering drawing and GD&T knowledge.

• FANUC experience advantageous.

• Matsuura and/or Colchester experience advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
