CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turner/Miller)

Marshall Harmony

CNC Programmer Setter Operator (Turner/Miller) You're a CNC Programmer Setter Operator because you enjoy making things that other people can't. Complex parts. Tight tolerances. Jobs that need you to think, not just follow instructions. That's the sort of work waiting for you here... As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you'll be machining bespoke, safety-critical components where no two weeks are the same. Batch sizes are often between 4-10 pieces. Sometimes you'll produce a one-off component that won't be needed again for years. If that's the sort of work that interests you...keep reading. As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you'll be programming, setting and operating Mazak machines using Mazatrol controls. This isn't a role for someone who's only ever loaded parts and pressed cycle start. You'll be reading engineering drawings, selecting tooling, setting offsets, machine jaws and understanding how to get a job running properly from start to finish. If you've worked on Integrex mill-turn machines, even better. If not, and you've got solid Mazak experience, the business is happy to invest in someone with the right attitude who's honest about what they know and keen to keep learning.
As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you'll be joining a business that's quietly built an excellent reputation over the last 30 years. They've recently invested heavily in new Mazak machinery, with more equipment still being brought online. Every machine on site is Mazak, supported by offline programming, direct programme transfer and proper job documentation. It's not a corporate environment. It's a smaller engineering business where people know each other, muck in together and enjoy what they do. As a CNC Programmer Setter Operator, you're someone who:
  • Programs, sets and operates Mazak CNC machines using Mazatrol.
  • Enjoys low-volume, high-specification components rather than repetitive production.
  • Reads Engineering drawings, tooling, offsets and machine setup
  • Takes pride in producing quality parts first time.
  • Reliable, straightforward and enjoy being part of a team where everyone pulls together.
In return you'll receive:
  • £18.00 to £22.00 per hour depending on experience.
  • 40-hour day shift.
  • Monday to Thursday days with an early finish every Friday.
  • Overtime is available (1.5 during the week and double on Sunday's)
If you're a CNC Programmer Setter Operator looking for somewhere your experience will be valued, where you'll work on interesting components instead of endless production runs, and where you'll be surrounded by people who enjoy engineering, let's discuss further.
