An established precision engineering company within the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Miller Setter Operator to join their growing machining team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy workshop environment producing high-quality components for a range of industrial sectors.

The Role

As a Miller Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating milling machinery to manufacture components to precise engineering drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products are produced efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
  • Producing components to engineering drawings and tolerances.
  • Conducting first-off and in-process quality inspections.
  • Making tool and offset adjustments where required.
  • Ensuring machines are running efficiently and safely.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
  • Working closely with the production and quality teams to meet delivery targets.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience as a Miller Setter Operator.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling.
  • Experience working within a precision engineering environment.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience programming CNC milling machines.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
  • Experience working with a variety of engineering materials.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:30am - 4:15pm
