Are you an experienced CNC Team Lead, CNC Supervisor, or manufacturing team leader looking for a hands-on leadership role within a busy engineering environment?
Our client, a well-established engineering manufacturer based in Poole, is looking to recruit a CNC Team Lead to support day-to-day machining operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing teams, and driving performance within a fast-paced production environment.
The successful CNC Team Lead will play a key role in ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.
The Role As a CNC Team Lead, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, managing, and motivating a team of machinists
- Supporting day-to-day CNC machining and workshop operations
- Ensuring health & safety, COSHH, and risk assessment procedures are followed
- Delivering daily, weekly, and monthly production and on-time delivery targets
- Running team meetings, toolbox talks, and performance briefings
- Driving Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and TPM initiatives
- Supporting the training and development of team members
- Investigating quality, safety, and production issues using root cause analysis
- Supporting effective communication and smooth handovers across operations
You'll ideally have:
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within CNC machining or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and workshop operations
- Proven ability to lead teams and improve performance
- Experience working towards production targets and operational efficiency goals
- Knowledge of health & safety procedures within manufacturing
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Lean Manufacturing experience
- Continuous Improvement involvement
- TPM knowledge
- Experience managing production teams
- Formal leadership or supervisory training
- £40,000 - £50,000 salary
