CNC Turner - Days & Nights

Elevation Recruitment are supporting a long‑established Sheffield manufacturing business in their search for a skilled CNC Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision‑engineered components that meet demanding customer and industry standards.

Shift Pattern: Days and Nights Rotation

Location: Sheffield

Responsibilities

• Produce machined parts to exact specifications using CNC Turning Machines, ensuring all work aligns with internal quality processes.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components accurately and within planned production times.
• Maintain a safe and organised workspace, upholding high housekeeping standards at all times.
• Work with high‑performance materials, including alloys such as Inconel 718.
• Meet production and quality targets by delivering components to the required standard within agreed timeframes.

Requirements

• At least two years’ machining experience within the oil and gas sector or a similarly demanding industry.
• Hands‑on experience operating CNC lathes.
• Solid understanding of tooling selection, feeds, speeds and machine capabilities to optimise cycle times and efficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• Clear and confident communication within the team and wider production environment.
• Adaptability when responding to changing priorities or workloads.
• Effective problem‑solving skills when dealing with machining challenges or technical issues.
