We’re partnered with an established precision engineering business producing high-quality machined components for a range of industrial sectors.

The business operates a modern CNC machining facility, working across sliding-head and fixed-head machinery and producing complex components to tight, micron-level tolerances.

Due to continued demand, they’re looking for an experienced CNC Turner / Setter to join their production team.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for setting, programming and operating CNC turning machinery, producing precision components accurately and efficiently within a low-to-medium volume environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines
• Programming using FANUC controls
• Working with Star and Miyano machines
• Working across slidinghead and fixed-head turning
• Selecting tooling, workholding and cutting parameters
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Producing components to tight and micronlevel tolerances
• Carrying out inprocess inspection and dimensional checks
• Identifying and resolving basic machining issues
• Working closely with the production team to meet delivery requirements
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner
• Strong CNC turning and machinesetting experience
• FANUC programming experience
• Star or Miyano machine experience – essential
• Slidinghead or fixed-head turning experience
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Experience machining to tight tolerances
• Good understanding of tooling and cutting conditions
• Twinspindle experience advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable, professional and team focused
