A well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Wimborne is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join its busy machine shop.
This is a permanent, day-shift role within a modern engineering environment, offering long-term stability and consistent workload.
The position is suited to a skilled machinist who is confident setting and operating CNC turning machines and producing precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality engineered components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines.
- Working with Mazak CNC control systems.
- Manufacturing precision components to engineering specifications.
- Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings.
- Carrying out inspection of finished parts to ensure quality standards.
- Maintaining efficient and accurate production output.
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner Setter/Operator.
- Experience working with Mazak controls.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and quality standards.
- Good attention to detail and a reliable working approach.
- Multi-axis machining experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
- £17.00 – £21.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Permanent position with long-term opportunities.
- Monday to Friday day shift.
- Overtime available.
