CNC Turner – Nights or Weekend Shift

Location: Near Newbury, Berkshire
Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour DOE (including shift allowance)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shifts: Monday–Thursday Nights or Friday–Sunday Weekends

Syntech Recruitment are recruiting experienced CNC Turners for a leading precision engineering manufacturer near Newbury, supplying high-quality components into the motorsport and aerospace industries.

Shift Patterns & Pay

Night Shift

• Monday to Thursday, 7:00pm – 6:00am

• 1-hour unpaid break

• 30% shift allowance

Weekend Shift

• Friday to Sunday, 6:00am – 6:30pm

• 30-minute unpaid break

• 25% shift allowance

Basic Rate: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour DOE, plus applicable shift allowance (up to £25.00 per hour).

Duties

• Setting and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls

• Editing CNC programmes at the machine

• Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances

• Working from detailed engineering drawings

• Conducting self-inspection using verniers, micrometers and calipers

• Maintaining excellent quality and production standards

• Ensuring safe and efficient machining operations

Requirements

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC Turning machines

• Experience with Fanuc controls and programme editing

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tight tolerances

• Experience within precision engineering, motorsport or aerospace

• Confident using inspection and measuring equipment

• Vericut experience advantageous but not essential

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
