CNC Turner

Shillito Group is recruiting an experienced CNC Turner for permanent day shift positions within a precision engineering environment.

This would suit people who are confident working from engineering drawings, operating turning machinery, and producing components to the required quality standards.

You'll be responsible for:

• Operating CNC and manual turning machines.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Creating, editing and interpreting CNC programmes.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining conditions.
• Using measuring equipment to inspect finished components.
• Recording dimensions and completing production documentation.
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance.
• Supporting other members of the team when required.
• Contributing to 5S and continuous improvement activities.

• Day shift
• £19.44 per hour, rising to £20 per hour.

You'll need solid CNC turning experience and a good understanding of machining processes.

You should be comfortable working independently, maintaining quality standards and keeping production moving without cutting corners.
