CNC Turning Programmer / Horizontal Borer Programmer in Middlesbrough

Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a CNC Turning Programmer/ Horizontal Borer Programmer.

It is essential that candidates have a minimum of 2 years CNC Turning experience. A minimum of 1 year of horizontal boring experience would be beneficial.

The job you’ll do

• Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit highly skilled turner - CNC Programmer/Machinists to program and operate a variety of lathes.
• Programming, setting and operating CNC machinery from engineering drawings and instructions.
• Working with Fanuc controls.
• Programming Fanuc lathes and/or Horizontal Boring machines.
• The role also offers excellent earning potential through enhanced shift allowances and overtime opportunities.

About You

• Ability to work unsupervised and interpret engineering drawings to ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Minimum BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent time-served experience
• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC machinery from engineering drawings and instructions.
• Fanuc control experience advantageous, although training can be provided.
• Ability to set tool offset.
• Competent in inspecting work using standard measuring equipment.
• Ability to support colleagues and work closely with Production Supervisors regarding planning, tooling and production issues.
• Experience machining exotic materials including phosphor bronze, duplex and Inconel.
• Commitment to maintaining production efficiency, quality and safety standards during shift operations.
