Shift: Monday–Thursday 14:00–22:00 | Friday 13:00–20:00

Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Setter/Operator looking for a new challenge within a precision engineering environment?

We’re working with an established engineering business specialising in high-quality precision and prototype machining, and they’re looking for a skilled CNC professional to join their team on the late shift.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in producing quality components, enjoys working with technically challenging parts, and wants to be part of a skilled and supportive engineering team.

The Role

As a CNC Turning Setter/Operator, you’ll be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components to exacting standards. You’ll work across a variety of materials and components, with the opportunity to use your programming and machining expertise in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll be expected to work independently, maintain consistently high standards, and communicate effectively with colleagues across the workshop and engineering team.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced CNC Lathe Setter/Operator with:

• Proven experience in CNC turning, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering or prototype environment.
• Good working knowledge of Mazatrol or Doosan controls.
• Experience and confidence with programming and live tooling.
• The ability to confidently interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Experience carrying out in-process dimensional and visual inspections using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Experience machining a wide range of metals and plastics.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to producing quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve machining issues.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers.
• The ability to work efficiently and consistently to production deadlines.
• Flexibility and willingness to mind multiple machines when required.
• A strong understanding of safe working practices.

Late Shift

Monday – Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00
Friday: 13:00 – 20:00
