CNC Vertical Borer (Nights) in Ecclesfield, Sheffield

We are currently looking to recruit a CNC Vertical Borer (NIGHT SHIFT) for our client based in Ecclesfield (Sheffield) S35. 

Working Hours:
Monday-Thursday (16:30pm - 02:30am)
Pay Rate: £23.70 starting rate, based on experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC vertical boring machines.
• Produce large precision-engineered components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Set tooling, offsets and work holdings.
• Make adjustments and program edits where required.
• Maintain tight tolerances and excellent surface finishes.
• Conduct first-off and in-process inspection activities.
• Complete quality documentation as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC vertical boring machines.
• Strong understanding of precision engineering practices.
• Experience machining large components.
• Ability to work independently from engineering drawings.
• Competent with measuring equipment and inspection procedures.
• Flexible approach and willingness to work permanent night shifts.
