CNC Wood Machinist

Talent-UK are recruiting for their client for a CNC Machinist needed on a full time Temp to Perm basis working 3 12 hour day shifts - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 6am - 6pm

A wood machinist sets up, operates, and maintains precision woodworking and CNC machinery to craft internal frame components for furniture manufacturing.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and run CNC routers, saws, and precision woodworking equipment to cut, shape, and finish timber components.
  • Technical Compliance: Read and follow production specifications, work instructions, and technical drawings.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished wooden parts to ensure they meet exact measurements and high manufacturing standards.
  • Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine tool adjustments, change cutterheads or blades safely, and keep the work area clean in line with health and safety rules.
  • Material Handling: Select, measure, and handle timber raw materials efficiently for production
Requirements & Skills
  • Experience setting up or operating wood machinery or CNC routers in a factory environment.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Strong focus on workplace safety and attention to detail.
  • A reliable, team-oriented approach to a busy manufacturing workshop
