Coatings Consultant

An exciting opportunity to travel throughout Europe assessing yachts.....

Our client is widely recognised as the world’s premiere paint technology assessment company, providing independent coating consulting and technical service inspections. This role will be working closely with yacht owners globally, as well as many large insurance and legal organisations.

Due to an expansion in the team, they are seeking an individual with knowledge of the coatings or corrosion markets, which could be from either the yacht, marine, aerospace, or similar sectors.

You will have good presentational skills and communication ability to work with an international client base, with well-developed personal and people management and negotiating skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle “first point of contact” engagement with clients
• Writing work proposals, taking the lead or assisting on assigned proposals/contracts, executing contracts and projects as required and writing reports
• Contribute to the refinement of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system and ensure its correct use
• Contribute to the website content
• Write and support the generation of appropriate papers and articles
• Conference attendance and presentation as required
• Manage R&D projects as appropriate
• Capable of global travel and working in typical marine environments.

Candidate Profile

• Understanding of coatings and or corrosive systems
• Application of coatings desirable
• Customer facing experience and experience of travel and assessment
• Live within close proximity to an international airport in order to be able to travel extensively in Europe
