Commercial Administrator – Metal and Recycling

LOCATION: You will be required to attend the office in Birmingham with potential to work from home after probation.

SALARY: £32,000-£35,000 

Hours 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm 

ROLE: Commercial Administrator – Metal and Recycling
You may be in : Scrap Metal Commercial Administrator, Commercial Administrator, Weighbridge operator, Sales Administrator, Sales Support, Business Development Administrator. 

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Administrator to join a growing metal recycling business.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within the Metal, Plastics, Paper or commodities in the recycling industry and will provide essential commercial and administrative support to the business, helping to ensure customer accounts, sales activity, purchasing information and internal processes are managed efficiently.

You will work closely with the commercial and management teams, maintaining accurate records. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide administrative support to the commercial and sales functions.
Maintain accurate customer and supplier records.
Monitor and process information relating to ferrous and non-ferrous metal movements and tonnages.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, transport providers and internal departments.
Help ensure all commercial paperwork and records are accurate and up to date.

EXPERIENCE

To be considered, you MUST have previous experience working within the Metal, Plastics, Paper or commodities in the recycling industry, ideally in a commercial, sales, purchasing, trading, weighbridge or administration capacity.

Experience in one of the following areas would be highly advantageous:
Scrap Metal Commercial Administrator, Commercial Administrator, Weighbridge operator, Sales Administrator, Sales Support, Business Development Administrator. 

You will be organised, commercially aware and confident dealing with customers and colleagues at all levels.

You will demonstrate:

Excellent administration and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Commercial awareness.
The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
Previous experience within Metal, Plastics, Paper or commodities in the recycling industry.
